ICP DAS Releases New Product : WISE-5800 - The Intelligent Data Logger PAC Controller

In 2010 Q4, ICP DAS releases the WISE(Web Inside, Smart Engine) Intelligent Web-based PAC controllers. This newly introduced Web-based PAC has won numerous recommendations from our customers. WISE offers a user-friendly and intuitive web site interface that allows users to implement IF-THEN-ELSE control logic on controllers just a few clicks away. Users are not required to learn the operation of programming tools and write any computer language program. With WISE’s powerful and easy-to-use features, it minimizes the learning curve, shorten time to market, and dramatically reduce the labor and cost spent on system development. The innovative WISE controller has been honored the Taiwan Excellence Awards 2011. This award explicitly states the fact that ICP DAS continues to lead the way in superior expertise, quality and depth of R&D.

In order to meet various requirements in automation applications, recently ICP DAS introduces WISE-5800 intelligent Data Logger PAC controller. The new WISE-5800 is a Web-based intelligent controller featuring various functions such as: automatic logic control and remote monitoring. No programming is required; it takes only a few clicks on web pages via browsers to implement logic control settings. The Rule Engine will check whether the rules are valid or not and determine the execution of actions under specific conditions, for examples: setting up I/O channel values, perform scheduled or timer tasks, or sending Email message/CGI command under a specific condition. In addition, through the Modbus TCP Protocol, it allows to integrate with SCADA package for controlling and monitoring I/O channel or system status on WISE controllers in real time.

In addition to merits inherited from the existing WISE series, WISE-5800 even provides more supports in I/O functions. It allows to connecting with a wide range of XW-Boards and I-7000 remote I/O modules that enables users to freely choose the most suitable I/O modules in applications. With the microSD card, it provides Data Logger function to real-time record the I/O data of the controller and send the data files by FTP or Email to the control center for further administration management or data analysis; the data file can be sent at a scheduled time. WISE-5800 also supports SNTP protocol to connect with SNTP Time Server for Time Synchronization through network to ensure accurate system time settings.
